Hello my name is Simon and I have lived in London all my life. Over approximately the last twenty years I have been diagnosed with various mental illnesses including paranoid schizophrenia, OCD and depression. I have been on various medications and also weaned off medications (not correctly!) in the past.
Through my whole experience I have learned a huge amount about so called mental illness, including the role of medication. I should make it clear now, in general, medication does not deal with the underlying issue which is usually connected to past trauma, negative thinking patterns and false beliefs about yourself and life which may have been fed to you from others or passed down generationally from your parents. All these issues can lead to the so called mental health illness. Doctors put you on medication which may dull or sedate you and make you feel better in some way yet the trauma that made you unhappy in the first place is still there and so, in my experience, you will end up on medication and yet you are still not happy. You are not living a joyful life or excited to wake up each day. I believe this is the way everyone deserves to feel.
I am offering meetings either face to face or via zoom where we can discuss this. I believe by talking with me you may start to feel a little different about your situation and start to move in a better direction.
I am also aiming to get rid of the idea that there are mentally ill people and then so called normal people. There is no such division. Either everyone is mentally ill or no one is.. and actually everyone has equal right and capability to live a joyful, happy life.
I am not medically trained but I do believe everyone should be allowed to wean off medication if that is what they want.
If this resonates with you and you would like to meet for advice and guidance please get in touch.
I look forward to hearing from you!
